Boolean values not being preserved within JMS Header

Postby stevedearl » Fri Aug 31, 2007 2:27 pm

Hi Colin,

I've noticed that when I save a message which contains boolean values within the JMS headers, on reloading the message with a view to replaying it the boolean values are now all set to 'false', irrespective of their original setting.
This also seems to be the case when trying to drag a message onto a new queue to republish it - again, the value of the boolean header property gets reset to 'false'.

Is there a setting somewhere that I've missed or is this likely to be a bug. For info I'm using Tibco EMS as the JMS provider.

Regards,
Steve

Steve,

Yup you're right, looks like boolean header properties have never worked...

I've created http://hermesjms.com/jira/browse/HJMS-49. It will be in a build shortly.

Regards,

Colin.

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the quick response. I'll keep an eye out for the build where it's implemented correctly.
I still think it's a fantastic application by the way - many congrats for building something so useful!! :D

Hi Steve,

I've a couple of things to fix for a 1.13 release and today is a (rare) full day on Hermes tasks so hopefully soon for the release...

Thanks for the nice words, glad your finding it useful :-)

Of course if you have any suggestions for new features or improvements then do log them at http://hermesjms.com/jira

Regards,

Colin.
