Cannot create sessions from LDAP JNDI context

Postby robigre » Wed Apr 20, 2011 4:04 pm

When I browse my LDAP based JNDI context, as expected Hermes traverses the tree and populates the tree-view of everything it finds.

However these just appear to be LDAP nodes - for example for a queue, the queue icon is not displayed and the right-click menu entry to create a new session from the queue is disabled. Hermes appears to be behaving as a nice LDAP browser but no more.

When I look in the logs the only maybe unusual entry is:
2011-04-20 14:51:56,076 [Hermes ThreadPool-1] DEBUG hermes.browser.tasks.ThreadPool - task hermes.browser.tasks.JNDIBrowseTask@19beb29 stopped

Colin - any ideas?

Regards

Hi,

Perhaps the classes are not available to the JNDI provider?

Did you set the loader as per http://hermesjms.com/confluence/display ... DI+Binding to include the classes of the objects bound into JNDI, not just the JNDI provider itself - i.e. the JMS provider too?

Regards,

Colin.
